Puzzle League Is Coming To The Virtual Console!
That N64 game that isn't Stadium, and didn't involve taking pictures and yelling stuff at Pikachu...
Released back in 2000 (2001 over in Euroland), Pokemon Puzzle League was a Puzzle game on the N64 based on the anime. As well as featuring Ash and friends, voices from the TV Show (Well, the 4Kids voices anyway) and even had it's own animated cut scenes, it was quite the addictive sequal to SNES Puzzle game, Tetris Attack. Hell, it even listed Lorelei by her real name (No Prima nonsense here!)!
Now, Pokemon Puzzle League sets to join fellow N64 game Snap onto the Virtual Console this Monday over in America, 9 days before Ranch! Expect to see this in Europe sometime after, although a Hanabi Festival (That's a month of import titles to you and me) is currently going on, so it might be as late as June over here, knowing our luck.
So, 2 down and 3 to go. Will we ever see the Stadiums or Hey You Pikachu in the near future? And will Angelic Lapras King finish that last puzzle on the Puzzle University this time round? Only time will tell...

Pokemon All Stars DVDs to Continue?
Collection of DVDs from 2006 we thought had ended are starting up again?
Think way back to 2006 and you recall it was the 10th Anniversary of Pokemon. As well as events and such, over in America, they released the Pokemon All Stars Collection, a range of DVDs that contain episodes of the anime featuring whatever the Pokemon on the front cover was (They ranged from the likes of Pikachu, Mudkip, Lugia, Charizard etc.). After 10, and a boxset contain all of them, many of us thought that was the end of it.
Not the case so it seems. In Viz Media's latest line up of upcoming DVDs, they have Pokemon All Stars Volume 11 and 12 listed for a 19/08/08 release at a price tag of $9.98 each. No word on what Pokemon each DVD will represent, let alone what episodes each will contain. Seems the days of bog standard single Volume DVDs have not died afterall. Do these DVDs serve any meaning or are they milking the cow even more?
On a brighter note, a reminder that those much more better value for money DVD Boxsets will be released soon (Orange Islands on May 20th and Battle Frontier on June 24th), not forgetting the 10th film's DVD release come May 27th. Tons of Pokemon DVD joy either way (In America at least).

Release Dates!
Nintendo of Europe today have announced dates for three games that are Pokémon-ish enough to be reported here.
Super Smash Bros Brawl - the game where you get to smash Kirby's face with a Jigglypuff. Previously speculated to be released in the year 2015, NoE have told us this is not the case and posted a date of 27th of June. That's 6 and a half years less than previously thought!
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 - the game were you get to smash Charizard's face with a Jigglypuff will be released July 4th. Our experts tell us it'll 'do really well'.
Finally, Nintendo's WiiWare service will begin in Europe May 20th! Which may or may not include Everybody's Pokémon Ranch!
And that's all the news we have for you, we haven't bothered to make up any other yet.

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.5... Confirmed
So Red/Blue had yellow, Gold and Silver had Crystal and Emerald was the same to Ruby and Sapphire. Now, with the latest DS iterations of the "Longest Running Fad in History.TM" already becoming multi-trillion selling bombs around the world, it looks as though the twins will be getting their customary spin-off that has become a constant in the Pokemon timeline.
Just a rumor for now, and there's no information aside from a reported 2008 release for Japan, but wasn't something like this always a given?
Interestingly, the rumour didn't specify a name for the game, and with Nintendo having already used up pretty much all feasible colours and precious gems for subtitles, it has left many a forum monkey coming up with possible ideas, already spanning from "Opal" to "Poo Brown".
Stay tuned for more info.
UPDATE!
It seems the title has now been confirmed as Pokemon Platinum. It's expected to hit Japan this Autumn. Source is Serebii.net, but thanks go to N-Europe for bringing it up.

May to Return!
But no Max? Hmm...
Remember May Well, of course you do, since it wasn't that long ago since she left the anime, but for those who never watched the anime during the Advanced Generation era of the show, she was Misty's replacement as the main female lead (And of course, the new subject of fanservice.). Along with Ash, Brock and her brother, Max, they travelled the Hoenn region (And Kanto during the Battle Frontier) as she entered contests to win ribbons. Then would you know it, she was eventually replaced by Dawn!
And now, she's making a comeback.
In an upcoming episode, set to air in Japan April 24, entitled Restaurant Seven Stars! Tag Battle for a Full Course!!, Ash and friends meet up with May at a restaurant, in which the owner of the restaurant will reward winners of a Tag Double Battle a free meal (Where do they get their ideas from?), which will see May teaming up with Dawn and Ash teaming with Brock. May is also visiting the Sinnoh region to attend Wallace's (Yup, the Champion from Emerald) Contest.
So, will May be returning in a new outfit (In vain of Misty's return in AG)? Who will win Wallace's Contest? Who will win that free meal? And where in the name of Lapras is Max?

Pokemon Ranger 2 pwns Japan
Probably one of the more decent Pokemon spin-offs, Pokemon Ranger on DS gained moderate critical acclaim and decent commercial success. Not one to turn their noses up on a cash cow, Nintendo obviously commisioned a sequel without much hesitation, and "Pokemon Ranger: Battonage" hit shops recently in Japan, and has done even better than the original.
The game managed a pretty whopping 127,000 units in its first day on shelves, which is much more than the first game initially managed, and shows a good sign for the weekly figures.

News: Jump into the Next Pokémon Adventure Early and Get a Free Guide
JUMP INTO THE NEXT POKÉMON ADVENTURE EARLY AND GET A FREE GUIDE
March 13, 2008 - Two new Pokémon® adventures for Nintendo DS™ are on the way, and Nintendo plans to reward fans for ordering early with guides to help them navigate the games. Starting March 16, 2008, fans who place an order for either Pokémon® Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time or Pokémon® Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness will receive a free, limited-edition Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers Guide*. The guide contains an exclusive collection of tips, interviews and an original manga by Ken Sugimori, main art director of Pokémon video games.
In these two new games, players journey through time and darkness as actual Pokémon as they attempt to find out why they've been turned into a Pokémon. Their epic quest leads them through countless, randomly generated dungeons, encountering more than 490 Pokémon. Players also have the option to send rescue alerts to their friends via e-mail or mobile text message when they are connected to Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection. These two new Dungeon games give Pokémon fans another excuse to upgrade to Nintendo DS, which also plays all their favorite Game Boy® Advance games in single-player mode.
Pokémon games remain as popular as ever. Last year's release of Pokémon® Diamond Version and Pokémon® Pearl Version for Nintendo DS sold a combined 4.33 million copies to date in the United States alone.

New Farm Details!
It's now Everyone's Pokemon Farm!
Everyone's Pokemon Farm, the Wiiware "game" that allows you to upload your D/P Pokemon to a virtual farm, has been announced for a March release over in Japan.
As with most Pokemon games nowadays, the game will feature a new character named Yukari, a friend of Bebe's (The Storage Technician chick from D/P) and the owner of the Farm. Using the Pokemon Custody System, you can upload up to 1000 Pokemon from your D/P games and interact with them using your Miis (And perhaps scare a few Pikachu with your Hitler Miis) as well as sort them like you would with boxes.
Pictures can also be taken in game and posted on the Wii Message Board to send to Friends. You can also save pictures onto SD Cards. No exact release date or price has been announced for the "game" yet. America will see the WiiWare service in May, so with any luck, we should see Everyone's Pokemon Farm around then (And maybe Super Smash Brothers Brawl?).

More DVDs Coming To America!
Not your bog standard single volume releases, but 2 boxsets! Also, CNToo to show movies 8&9 again...
A line up of upcoming DVDs from Viz Media, the guys that give America Pokemon goodness on DVD, has been annonced, and among the many Naruto releases, there are 2 Pokemon DVDs coming! Continuing the trend of Boxsets of the first Season, there will be 2 more boxsets released, one for The Orange Islands and one for Battle Frontier.
The First Battle Frontier Boxset will be 540 mins long, so about 23 episodes, and will be released on 24th June 2008. The Orange Island Boxset meanwhile will be a whooping 760 mins long (So about 35 episodes) and will be released first on 20th May 2008, both at a suggested retail price of $39.98. Could this mean that the old structure of single volume Pokemon DVDs could be well and truly dead? It does look that way.
Meanwhile, the UK still waits for more Pokemon DVDs (Though you can always import the American DVDs if you own one of those fancy Multi Region DVD Players), while still having those Chronicles DVDs that America are still waiting on. On the brightside, Cartoon Network Too is showing the 8th and 9th movies again this Half Term. Here are the dates and times.
Lucario and the Mystery of Mew 11am 18/02/08
Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea 11am 19/02/08
Also not forgetting, CNToo are still showing new episodes of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, so it's not all bad.

Official- Shaymin To Star In Movie 11!
Meanwhile, still no word on the 7th film's UK Release...
Revealed on the 11th Film's website and in CoroCoro Comics, Shaymin will star in the upcoming Pokemon movie, now entitled, Giratina & The Bouquet From The Sky - Shaymin. This surely has to mean a download promotion, in the vain of Manaphy and Darkrai, is extremely likely.
Also revealed is a new form of Giratina. This Origin Form gives Giratina a different weight and Height (6.9m and 650kg) and a sort of snake like look. No word on what this form allows Ginatina to do.
